Kai Hafemeister

Kai Hafemeister (* 1972 in East Berlin ) is a German screenwriter .

Live and act

Hafemeister studied German and philosophy, after completing his studies he found his way to the theater and started working as a freelance screenwriter and dramaturge in the mid-1990s . In 1998 he founded Cyclops Eye, a company that develops screenplays for film and television. Hafemeister won the Screenplay Award at the Emden-Norderney International Film Festival in 2005 for his screenplay on Innocence , and in 2008 it was filmed by Andreas Morell .

George was published in 2013 , Götz George plays the role of his father during the Nazi era, Hafemeister delivered the script for the film together with director Joachim Lang . Also in 2013, at the Hamburg Film Festival , Banklady celebrated its premiere, and Hafemeister also wrote the script for this based on the life of the bank robber Gisela Werler . In 2019 he was involved in the writers' room for the Netflix original series Wir sind die Welle under head author Jan Berger .
