Mehdi Moinzadeh (born February 20, 1978 in Hamadan , Iran ) is an actor , writer and director .

Life

Moinzadeh is the son of actor Ghorban Moinzadeh and painter Chatoun Karimi. At the age of ten he moved to Germany with his parents and siblings. In Bruchsal he attended elementary and high school and played alongside his father in the ensemble of the Badische Landesbühne . After graduating from school, he began his three-year acting training at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich at the age of seventeen .

He played u. a. at the Munich and Vienna Volkstheater and at the Munich and Hamburg Kammerspiele . After his training he worked in numerous cinema and television films. From 2003 to 2005 he was the first Iranian to be cast in the Kiel crime scene as investigator Alim Zainalow alongside Axel Milberg ( crime scene: fathers ). In 2009 Mehdi Moinzadeh made the US / D / A movie Women Without Men , directed by Shirin Neshat .

In addition to acting, Mehdi Moinzadeh writes scripts, directs and has staged at the theater in Berlin since 2008 . He is also co-founder and managing partner of the Berlin film and theater production Little Black Fish UG, founded in 2010 .
