Marco Wiersch (* 1971 in Dinslaken ) is a German author who primarily writes for film and television, but also directs and writes plays and comics. He was best known for the two-parter The Barschel Case and films from the Bloch and Tatort series .

Career

After completing a psychology degree, Marco Wiersch completed a postgraduate course in film at the University of Hamburg. His first short film Quak won a German Film Academy Award . In addition to episodes of the series Sesame Street and Die Rettungsflieger , he initially wrote six films in the Bloch series . He also shot his first short film as a director, Kleine Liebe , which premiered at the India International Film Festival. The author was the television film His good right , the two-parter Der Fall Barschel (with Kilian Riedhof ; awarded, inter alia, the Bernd Burgemeister TV Prize 2016) and three films in the Tatort series ( Rebecca , Zeit der Fösche and Borowski and the House of Ghosts ).
