Katrin Wichmann (born June 5, 1978 in Braunschweig ) is a German actress .

Career

Katrin Wichmann grew up in Salzgitter. In 1996 she started her acting studies at the University of Music and Theater in Hanover , which she finished in 2000. Then she went to Kassel and was there until 2002 at the Staatstheater Kassel in the ensemble of Armin Petras . From 2002–2003 she lived in Basel, where she was a guest at Theater Basel . In 2003 she moved to Hamburg, where she initially worked as a guest and from 2005 as a permanent member of the Thalia Theater . In 2009 she followed her director Ulrich Khuon as a permanent member of the ensemble at the Deutsche Theater Berlin . At the same time she worked in several cinema and television productions as well as radio plays.

Katrin Wichmann is the mother of two sons and lives with her family in Berlin-Charlottenburg.

In 2007, Katrin Wichmann received the " Boy Gobert Prize " from the Körber Foundation in Hamburg. At the German Television Crime Prize 2019 she was honored as best actress for her performance in Tatort: ​​Borowski and the happiness of others .
