Vanessa Jopp (born February 28, 1971 in Leonberg ) is a German director.

Life

Vanessa Jopp first studied economics for three semesters before she was admitted to the Munich University of Television and Film in 1993. The works One Night Suicide and Café True Romance were created there .

Jopp was best known for the films Vergiss Amerika (2000) with Franziska Petri , Marek Harloff and Roman Knižka and Engel & Joe (2001) with Robert Stadlober and Jana Pallaske . In 2001, the episode film Honolulu was co-directed with Florian Gallenberger and other young directors . Jopp also directed the crime scene thriller The Black Troll , again with Marek Harloff. Her drama Come closer with Meret Becker , Stefanie Stappenbeck and Marek Harloff was shown at the Berlinale 2006 . The film received two nominations for the German Film Prize .
