Life

Berling grew up in Berlin and Osnabrück after the Second World War . His father was the architect Max H. Berling . Peter Berling left the school without a high school , then completed a bricklayer and then studied at the Polytechnic a semester long architecture . He then studied graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich ; later he came to film through commercials.

He has appeared in more than 130 films, for example directed by Werner Herzog , Martin Scorsese , Helmut Dietl , Jean-Jacques Annaud , Volker Schlöndorff , Liliana Cavani and in films by Helge Schneider . He was also known as a producer (including for Rainer Werner Fassbinder ), critic and chronicler.
