Yvonne Yung Hee Bormann (* 1981 in Seoul , South Korea ) is a German-South Korean actress and singer .

Career

Yvonne Yung Hee Bormann was born in Seoul and has lived in Germany since she was seven months old. She grew up in Northern Germany and now lives in Berlin , where she works as a freelance actress and singer.

From 2003 to 2006, Bormann took the diploma course in Musical Theater at the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding in Munich . Further training stations were u. a. the Dance Center San Francisco and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York .

Since 2004 Bormann has played and sang in various musical, theater, opera, TV and film productions. So she was u. a. to be seen at the Thuner Seespiele 2005 in Miss Saigon , played at the Theater Tribüne in Berlin in the play Love - The Most Beautiful Story and was seen in the television series Climate Change of ZDF 2010 in the episode New Paths as the episode character "Li". She played a supporting role in the television film Unter Feinden on ZDF. Yvonne Yung Hee Bormann can currently be seen on the theater stage. Since 2009 she has been playing various stage plays at Theater Strahl in Berlin , including spring storms , fun! as well as Nathan . Also between 2009 and 2013 she sang in the ensemble in the Wagner opera Rienzi at the Deutsche Oper Berlin . In the episode The Chinese Princess of the TV series Tatort , she was seen in 2013 in one of the main roles of the episode as "Xia Miao". In 2016 she was one of the leading actresses in the Grimme Prize Winner Wishlist .

Bormann is actively committed to improving the human rights situation in North Korea .
