Friedrich Liechtenstein (born December 25, 1956 in Stalinstadt , today in Eisenhüttenstadt ; actually Hans-Holger Friedrich ) is a German musician , actor and entertainer . Since 2019 he has played in the TV program Tele5 as "Konstantin" at the "Festival of Love".

Life

Hans-Holger Friedrich started out as a puppeteer , theater director and actor. From 1980 to 1984 he studied at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . In 1986 the State Security tried in vain to recruit Friedrich as an IM . In the 1990s he drew attention to himself with various theater productions in the Berlin Sophiensælen , the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz and the Kammertheater Neubrandenburg, including directorial work such as Tanztee für die Frieden with Sophie Rois , the Bietikow Salon and the one in the Haus der Berliner Festival set up Carmen Miranda Revue Pavilion . His lunchtime dormitory also received a great response.

In 2003 he began a career as an electro-pop musician and entertainer under the stage name Friedrich Liechtenstein with the electronics producers Arnold Kasar and Nicholas Bussmann . In addition, Liechtenstein initiated art projects such as the Sparkling Love Towers World Tour (TV tower Berlin), pop variety shows and audio books such as The Little Man in Your Belly . Liechtenstein toured with his live show through clubs from Berlin, Bremen, Hamburg, Dresden, Munich, Vienna to Bordeaux, Paris and Lille in France.

He was also one of three directors of the former Berlin Hansa Theater , later Engelbrot and Spiele .

His other activities include popup installations in the Pan Am Lounge in Berlin and radio moderation in the Bremen radio project schwücken.de . In 2009 Friedrich Liechtenstein was the "tour guide" in the 3sat documentary series 1-2-3 Istanbul . He accompanied the 2012 Berlinale as a conférencier in the Sophiensælen with the show dark & cozy .

In 2013, Liechtenstein appeared as a performer and interpreter in the music video Supergeil by Der Tourist . In February 2014, the retail association Edeka started a viral marketing campaign with its own version of the Supergeil video as well as individual clips in which Liechtenstein is the main actor. The campaign spread rapidly on the Internet and made Liechtenstein international recognition.

In March 2014, Liechtenstein released the ten-minute single Belgique, Belgique . In summer 2014 the associated album Bad Gastein was released , a concept album about the spa town of the same name in the Austrian Alps, which he wrote together with the artist and producer duo HEAVYLISTENING . The album was consistently received very positively by the press.

Although Liechtenstein explicitly says of himself that he is “not a writer” but “a performer”, in 2014 he published a book at Blumenbar Verlag . It mainly contains pictures to which he has short humorous sentences “Helpers spoken into the dictation machine”. He names Julian Schnabel and Wes Anderson as his style role models .

According to its own information, Liechtenstein has been living for some time in the architecturally unusual Berlin L40 residential and commercial building of the architect Roger Bundschuh on Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz at the corner of Linienstraße. His son is the writer Franz Friedrich .

As a DJ with hit jingles, Liechtenstein provided the background music for the presentation of the German Web Video Prize on June 13, 2015 in Düsseldorf.

In March 2016, Liechtenstein was briefly the head of the television station Tele 5 as part of an advertising campaign . From April to September 2016 he was the main actor in the 8-part web video series Das Universum nach Friedrich Liechtenstein for Arte Creative . In November 2016 he took part in the dance show Deutschland tanzt ( ProSieben ). In 2018 he appeared together with Liam Mockridge as Elevator Man and Lobby Boy at Das Supertalent .
