Arnold Kasar

Arnold Kasar (* 1972 in Bad Säckingen ) is a German pianist, sound engineer and music producer and appears both as a solo artist and in various collaborations. As a producer, co-author, musical director and ensemble member, he worked with Hans-Joachim Roedelius , Nylon , Friedrich Liechtenstein and Micatone, among others .

Life

After studying music and theater studies at the Free University of Berlin, Arnold Kasar released his first recordings on the Berlin label Sonar Kollektiv . Kasar has been working as a sound engineer in the field of mastering since 2001 . He worked for various on-studios such as Calyx Mastering, Emil Berliner Studios and Eastside Mastering. Together with Stefan Rogall he formed the duo Atomhockey, which released several singles and an album.

Kasar also composed and produced some tracks for the band Micatone , which were also released on Sonar Kollektiv. From 2004 he appeared with individual musicians in this band as Nylon and released three albums with this band on Universal . In 2004 he met the actor and entertainer Friedrich Liechtenstein and published several albums with him on fabrique records . Since 2012 Arnold Kasar has been working solo again and has released several albums.

In 2012 Arnold Kasar met the musician Hans-Joachim Roedelius. After their first joint appearances, the two musicians influenced their first joint album in 2016 . This was followed by joint concerts in the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Volksbühne Berlin and Christ Church Bochum . Arnold Kasar's solo album Resonanz was released in 2019 .

In 2016, Kasar founded his own music label Superfrieden, on which he has since published his own work and collaborations with other artists.

Arnold Kasar lives and works in Berlin.
