Micatone is a nu jazz band from Berlin, founded in 1999 . Her name is the Italian slang word “mica”, meaning “without”, with “sound”.
It consists of the singer Lisa Bassenge and the musicians Paul Kleber on the double bass, Sebastian Hagen Demmin on the keyboards, Boris Meinhold on the guitar and synthesizer and Tim Kroker on the drums . All musicians also work on the programming . The DJ and sound designer Stefan Rogall was also involved in the first three albums up to 2005.
