Paul Kleber

Paul Kleber (* 1973 in Berlin ) is a German jazz musician ( double bass , also electric bass , composition ).

Life

Kleber played the cello and jazz drums in his early youth before making the double bass his main instrument. He completed a classical double bass course at the “Hanns Eisler” University of Music in Berlin ; this was followed by jazz studies at the Berlin University of the Arts .

Since 1996 he has played with Lisa Bassenge , initially in her trio, then also in the projects Micatone (since 1999) and Nylon (since 2004) and other formations. Together with Bassenge he wrote most of his own compositions and arranged many pieces for their formations.

He also belonged to JazzIndeed with Michael Schiefel , Tilmann Dehnhard , Bene Aperdannier and Rainer Winch ; with this band he released two albums. He can also be heard on albums by Jazzanova , Barbara Buchholz , Sebastian Studnitzky , Christoph Adams , Adoro and Daniel Weltlinger .
