Lisa Bassenge (* 1974 in Berlin ) is a German jazz - singer , often elements of Blues , Chanson - and pop music picks.

biography

Lisa Bassenge was born the daughter of a German and an Iranian . After graduating from high school, she began studying singing with Judy Niemack at the Hanns Eisler Music Academy in Berlin . She also got to know the bassist Paul Kleber , who has been a constant companion in almost all musical projects since 1996.

Lisa Bassenge toured with various projects across Europe, Thailand and Vietnam. Her band Lisa-Bassenge-Trio , founded in 1995, included the pianist Andreas Schmidt in addition to Kleber . The trio released three albums on minor music . Her well-known interpretations include Rio Reiser's Junimond on A Sigh, a Song (2002) and the duet We make music with Ilse Werner von Three (2004). The successor to this band was the A Little Loving ensemble , in which Kleber is also involved.

In addition, she has been active in the Micatone project since 1999 . She also ran the nylon band project for several years with Kleber and others since 2004 , where she dressed old evergreens and chansons in contemporary pop garb.

She can be heard as a guest singer on records by musicians such as Nicola Conte , Xavier Naidoo , Stuart Staples , Pee Wee Ellis and Max Goldt . Other projects to which Bassenge has contributed are the Sonar Kollektiv Orchester and re: jazz .
