Sören Voigt (director)

Sören Voigt (* 1968 in Pinneberg ) is a German film director and screenwriter .

Life

Voigt studied film directing at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (dffb), as well as one year at the Polish film school in Lodz . He graduated in 2000 with a diploma in Berlin. His graduation film Tolle Lage was released in German cinemas in the same year and was shown on TV in the ZDF series “Das kleine Fernsehspiel” , on Arte and on 3sat . Identity Kills premiered in 2003 at the 53rd Berlinale in the Forum of Young Films. The film was shown in selected German cinemas and was broadcast on 3Sat in 2006/07. In 2011 his third feature film, the German-Spanish co-production Implosion , celebrated its premiere at the Hof Film Festival. In the summer of 2013, ZDF broadcast the German premiere.

Sören Voigt lives in Berlin.
