Berlin & Beyond Film Festival is an annual film festival in San Francisco that was launched in 1996.

Organized by the Goethe-Institut San Francisco, films from Germany , Austria and Switzerland are shown at Berlin & Beyond . The main task of the festival is to serve as a gateway for the American people to show the history, development and diversity of German-speaking countries in Europe. From 1996 to 2010 more than 500 films were presented to an audience of over 100,000 people. Well-known guests included Doris Dörrie , Bruno Ganz , Michael Verhoeven , Wim Wenders and Mario Adorf , who was awarded a prize for his life's work in 2012. Every year the festival welcomes around 10,000 visitors to celebrate new discoveries, documentaries and important classics.

The 15th Berlin & Beyond Film Festival took place at the end of October 2010 in the historic Castro Cinema in San Francisco and on an additional day in San Jose. The festival management is currently under Sophoan Sorn.
