action

It is the 25th anniversary of the Sparwasser goal in the international soccer game German Democratic Republic - Federal Republic of Germany 1974 . Ralf Skiernitzki, a former Bundeswehr officer, rules the “Tolle Lage” campsite on the German Baltic Sea coast. He actually wanted to make a quick buck here, but the tradition-conscious campers are not interested in his overlaid NATO biscuits and are not enthusiastic about his innovations. To make matters worse, his daughter Anita has a child with his Vietnamese-German employee Pit and wants to emigrate with him to Vietnam . So it suits the owner that the bank employee Claus Oelke, who has just robbed his own branch, buys the ailing place in order to impress his wife Natascha. But she only has eyes for the former GDR hit star Michi Fanselow, the dream of her youth.

Location

criticism

“A grotesque panopticon that aims to point out the state of German unity in a garish and symbolic way. Shot in the style of the 'Dogma' films with a moving hand-held camera, the film dispenses with any psychological penetration of the characters, but convinces with its consistent bizarre. "

The film won the Director's Prize at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Film Festival in 2000 and the Best First Feature Award at the 2001 Berlin & Beyond Film Festival .
