Nicholas Bussmann , also Nicholas Desamory , (born May 13, 1970 in Berlin ) musician , composer and artist . He lives and works in Berlin.

Life

Nicholas Bussmann musician , composer and artist . Originally active as an improvisation musician in Berlin's real-time music scene, Bussmann has also devoted himself to electronic music since the late 1990s . Since 2010 he has been developing instructions-based performances that are increasingly being perceived in an art context. He plays together with Martin Brandlmayr under the band name Kapital Band 1 and with Toshimaru Nakamura as Alles 3 . He played with Lars Rudolph in the 1995-2003 band I never sweat . He has also worked on radio plays and theater productions, produced various music albums and composed film music. As a curator for music in the art context, he has a. a. for the Shanghai Biennale in 2014 and the House of World Cultures worked

In 2012 he recorded the house album “Like You” under the name “Nicholas Desamory” together with his wife, the Belgian artist, filmmaker and musician Lucile Desamory . As in earlier electronic productions, the cello was used again for some of the titles. He composed the music for the horror film Abracadabra (2013) by Lucile Desamory.
