action
About: Kate puts the minds and emotions of a woman in her late twenties at the center of his unconventional narrative. Instead of going to a party, Kate Harff admitted to a Berlin mental hospital at the turn of the year . The viewer becomes part of her stream of consciousness and her search for herself. As a guest in her head, he surfs through an associative patchwork blanket of thoughts, television images, snippets of memory and Internet user interfaces. The boundaries between real exchange, virtual encounters, talk therapy and self-research on the Internet are blurring. The influence of modern technologies on our identity and our viewing and thinking habits should be examined. Kate is no longer sure of her own identity. Her brother's fate has been uncertain since a drunk drive. In addition, she has just had a breakup. At the beginning, Kate ponders her own Facebook profile and that of her ex-boyfriend. She then deletes her entire friends list after appearing to believe that she actually has no friends. Several therapy sessions follow with her psychologist Dr. Luise Desmarin. Kate finds chores such as kitchen service or basket weaving annoying. She also finds other people such as the carer Ingo Neumann and fellow inmate Erika annoying. After a few days, Kate is summoned to the clinic director's office and confronted for her escapades. Flashbacks follow, in which her arch enemy Anne Vogel or her ex-boyfriend Victor, with whom she was on vacation in Paris, often appears. In her thoughts she also keeps returning to her childlike self . After visiting her brother, Kate decides to leave the clinic. It remains to be seen whether the entire stay in the clinic was real or what only happened in your imagination.
