Christian Harting (* 1976 in Berlin ) is a German actor .

Life

Christian Harting first completed a medical degree at the Free University of Berlin and then took acting lessons from Michael Peter and Christine Kostropetsch. From 2010 he played supporting roles in German feature films and TV series as well as leading roles in numerous short films. He gained international attention for his roles in the two feature films by the Hungarian director László Nemes Jeles , SS officer Busch in Son of Saul and Otto von König in Sunset . Son of Saul won the Grand Jury Prize and the FIPRESCI Prize at the 2015 Festival de Cannes, and in 2016 the Golden Globe and the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film . Sunset was u. a. awarded the FIPRESCI Prize of the Venice International Film Festival 2018.
