Filip Renč (born August 17, 1965 in Prague ) is a Czech actor , screenwriter and director .

Renč is the son of the director Ivan Renč and the grandson of the poet Václav Renč . At the age of five he appeared as a child actor. He later had cameo appearances in the three films Kolya , Leergut and Dark Blue World by Jan Svěrák as well as in the fairy tale film Competition in the Castle .

Renč studied at FAMU in Prague and while still a student he shot his debut Requiem pro panenku in the Zlín film studio . He often works with screenwriter Zdeněk Zelenka . He directed numerous commercials and video clips as well as several musicals ( Kleopatra 2002, Golem 2006 and others).

From April to June 2015 Renč shot his feature film The Devil's Beloved , which deals with the life of the Czech actress Lída Baarová . Baarová's lover Joseph Goebbels is played in this international production by Karl Markovics . The film is distributed worldwide by Global Screen and has its premiere on January 20, 2016 in Prague.
