Life

Charlotte Link was born in Frankfurt am Main in 1963 as the daughter of the author Almuth Link . She passed her A -levels at the Christian Wirth School in Usingen . Less of family tradition - her father was a judge at the Court of Appeal - rather because they wanted to take action against injustice done to animals, she studied six semesters long Jura at the University of Frankfurt . In 1986 she moved to Munich to study history and literary studies . She began writing her first work Die Schöne Helena at the age of 16 and published it at the age of 19.

She became known for both social novels and psychological suspense novels in the English storytelling tradition. The titles Sturmzeit , Wilde Lupinen and Die Hour der Erben are a trilogy that was filmed for television in the five-part series Sturmzeit , along with other works by ZDF . The novel Am Ende des Schweigens was nominated for the German Book Prize in the fiction category in 2004 , and her novel Die Rosenzüchterin , published in 2000, topped the Spiegel bestseller list for several weeks. The total circulation of her novels in Germany alone is over 28 million (as of October 2018).

In 2014 her book was published about the last years of her sister Franziska, who was suffering from cancer and who accompanied her during her illness.
