Mina Tander
Mina Tander (born December 4, 1978 in Cologne ) is a German actress .
Life
Mina Tander is the daughter of an Afghan journalist and a German teacher. Her father died when she was six years old. Mina Tander grew up in Cologne. Her sister Simin Tander is the singer and songwriter for the band Simin .
By her own account, Mina Tander wanted to be a dancer and actress since she was ten. She attended the ballet academy in Cologne parallel to high school. She was discovered by the local theater manager at a school theater meeting in Münster and from then on played theater alongside the school. At 16, she starred in her first TV film Absprung . Other television films followed, and in 1999, Behind the Rainbow, the first major feature film. In the following years she starred in several television films. In 2000, Tander not only played Leonie in the successful film Harte Jungs , for which she was nominated for the 2000 New Faces Award , but also played Melanie, the sister of the leading actress , in the comedy school . Since then, she has also appeared in numerous award-winning films such as Fremder Freund (First Steps Award), Has he Work , Oktoberfest and Give me your heart as well as in the successful cinema comedies Maria, he doesn't like it! and men's hearts ... and to see the very, very great love .
In 2009 Tander won her lead in Maria, he doesn't like it! Nominated for the German Film Critics Award in the Best Actress category.
In 2010, she sang the songs Our love blooms in the dark and Maria's song (together with Peter Lohmeyer) for the soundtrack of the film Schenk mir dein Herz .
In 2012 the film You promised it , in which Tander plays the leading role, was shown in the official program of the Venice International Film Festival .
Tander lives in Berlin and is married to the director Elmar Fischer . In 2011 she became the mother of a daughter. In 2019, Tander gave birth to their second child, a boy.
