The eleven-year-old Ria Othilie Clementine Cäsar Alva Kurz (Rocca for short) lives with her grandmother in Hamburg. Her mother died giving birth and her father works as an astronaut on the ISS . After the grandma also has to go to the hospital, the clever and courageous girl finds her way through on her own, which provokes all kinds of resistance from the authorities and their teachers. And there is also a lot going on at school. Rocca has to fight and prove to everyone that even a child has the power to change the world.

The Filmförderungsanstalt granted production funding of 417,502 euros, and the Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein film subsidy granted 550,000 euros. Well received Rocca changed the world a production funding from the German Federal Film Fund .
Child actress Luna Marie Maxeiner played the title role of Rocca.
The shooting took place in summer 2018 in Lokstedt, Blankenese, on Jungfernstieg and at the Friedrich-Ebert-Gymnasium in Hamburg. In August 2018, the film was shot in front of the Higher Regional Court and the remand prison on Holstenglacis. Torsten Breuer acted as cameraman .
The film was released in German cinemas on March 14, 2019. The film premiered on March 3, 2019 in the Astor Film Lounge in Hamburg's Hafencity. At the end of August and beginning of September 2019, it was presented at the Festival of German Films , where it was shown as part of the Children's Film Festival. At the beginning of November 2019 it was shown at the Minsk International Film Festival “Listapad” in the children's and youth film section.
