action

The unsuccessful documentary filmmaker Lukas Schmidt interviews the successful author Agnes Lehner about her new book in a hotel room. During the conversation it emerges that Lukas didn't really come to make a film. He claims that they have met before: over ten years ago they both graduated from high school together and were involved in a momentous accident. However, Agnes cannot remember and engages in a question-and-answer game with which Lukas tries to awaken in her the memory of a crime that they are said to have committed once together. They become more and more entangled in a web of desire and identity, and the longer the night lasts, the further the lie and truth drift apart.

criticism

The film service judges that the “psychological thriller limited to one room and two characters” strains “its credibility permanently with hair-raising twists”. The "good actors [...] would struggle in vain on involuntarily comical dialogues". The film website kino.de writes that the “very concentrated chamber play” lives “almost exclusively from the dialogues and the performance of the actors”. The staging is "largely backward". Mina Tander and Godehard Giese would convince as the main actors.
