Godehard Giese (born October 20, 1972 ) is a German actor and director .

Life

Giese attended the Sankt Ansgar School in Hamburg and studied acting at the Berlin University of the Arts from 1997 to 2000 . From 2001 to 2003 he was at the Hildesheim City Theater , where he played, among other things, the captain in Goethe's The Elective Affinities . In addition to television and cinema films, Giese starred in episodes of the television series Tatort , Der Kriminalist and SOKO 5113 . In 2014 he presented his first feature film directorial work, The Story of the Astronaut , which he produced and wrote himself in the competition of the Max Ophüls Preis film festival . In 2015 Das Hotelzimmer ran there , in which he plays one of the two main roles.

In 2020, Giese received a nomination for the German Film Award for his supporting role as Raphael in İlker Çatak's feature film Es ist das Spelled Wort (2019) .
