Maria Teiss is a police officer. She is transferred to Edgar Feindt's department, her ex-lover. Her job is to take a close look at his working methods. She also has to solve a mysterious murder case. However, Maria wonders whether it was suicide or whether her boss had a hand in it. As if her tasks weren't difficult enough, she and Edgar also have to solve a crime against a child.
