Benjamin Sadler (actually Benjamin Klimaschewski , born February 12, 1971 in Toronto , Canada ) is a German actor .

Life

The son of the German graphic artist Baldur Klimaschewski and the British teacher Jill Klimaschewski spent the first five years of his life in Canada. In 1976 he moved to Germany with his parents. He completed his studies at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London . His acting career began in 1994 in the television series Drei zum Verliebe in which he was seen in eleven episodes as Robert Holler, followed by appearances in well-known crime series such as Faust , SK-Babies and Wolffs Revier . In 1997, Sadler worked as Stefan Ahlbaum's writing pool employee in 21 episodes of the television series girl friends .

He also took on roles in movies, for example in 2001 in the German-Italian co-production Maria Magdalena , where he was seen as John the Baptist at the side of Maria Grazia Cucinotta and Danny Quinn . In 2002 Sadler took part in two other film adaptations that included religious themes. In the drama The Bible - The Apocalypse , he stood in front of the camera with Richard Harris and Christian Kohlund and in the German-British coproduction Luther with Joseph Fiennes , Peter Ustinov and other stars of European film. In the 2017 children's film Wendy - The Film , which is based on the horse magazine Wendy , he played the father of the main character. Benjamin Sadler was in a relationship with actress Isabella Parkinson until 2008 , with whom he has a daughter. He lives in Berlin.
