In the summer of 2005, when Marko was 11 years old, she was hired by Michael Souvignier and his production company to play the leading role of eight to nine year old Katrin in the television film Contergan . The contact to Marko was arranged through a Viennese self-help group for children and adolescents with limb damage. Marko did not learn her text beforehand; instead, in order to make their playing appear more authentic, only the sequence of the scene was briefly discussed beforehand, and then played, initially without and then with a camera. Marko was used on nine of the 54 days of shooting; partly because of her the film was shot during the autumn vacation 2005 so that she didn't miss too much of the lessons.

At the age of 16, Marko graduated from secondary school and then completed an apprenticeship as a clerk for office communication at LFK Lenkflugkörpersysteme GmbH in Schrobenhausen , which belongs to EADS , where she was also taken on after her training. Later, Marko also completed further training to become a human resources specialist. She works full-time as a personnel administrator, and at times she also worked as an HR administrator. In 2011 she acquired, almost 18 years old, the car - driver's license ; she operates the steering wheel with a joystick . She is married with one son and runs social profiles on Facebook and Instagram .

In 2016 she was portrayed in a film in the Aktion Mensch campaign “We make it easy” . In 2018 she took part in an image film for the Swiss association ProInfirmis , which shows people with a wide variety of disabilities in a humorous way who master their everyday lives just as much as people without disabilities.
