action

The advertising manager Christine Stanford heads the branch of a New York agency at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. She takes revenge on her colleague Isabelle James for her affair with her boyfriend Dirk. She's also trying to ruin Isabelle's reputation and relationships. As a result of the constant harassment, this ultimately becomes dependent on medication.

Shortly afterwards, Christine is found dead and Isabelle is arrested as a suspect. Under the influence of her medication, she confesses to the murder. She later presents an alibi for the night of the murder; she believes she can prove her innocence. After a scarf with traces of blood from Christine is found in Dirk's car, he is charged with murder and Isabelle is released.

In fact, Isabelle murdered Christine and scattered references to Dirk as the murderer. Isabel's secretary Dani, who is secretly in love with her, filmed her on the night of the murder. She wants to blackmail Isabelle into a relationship with her. After a nightmare in which she murders Dani and is then killed by Christine's sister, Isabelle wakes up and finds Dani dead in her apartment.
