Paul Anderson (born February 12, 1978 in England ) is a British actor .

Career

Anderson began his acting career in 2005 when he made a guest appearance on Doctor Who . In the following years he starred in the television film Engaged to Kill (2006) and the series Forensic Medicine Dr. Leo Dalton (2007), Ashes to Ashes - Back to the 80s (2008) and Inspector Barnaby (2009) with. In 2011, Anderson appeared in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and in the thriller A Lonely Place to Die - Highlands Death Trap . He then starred in the films Piggy and The Sweeney . In 2012 he appeared in Brian De Palma's thriller Passion . He was best known in Germany for his role as Arthur Shelby in the highly acclaimed series Peaky Blinders - Gangs of Birmingham .
