The building contractor Karl Kress last saw his eldest son Christoph twenty years ago on a mountain tour together, he has been missing since then. Christoph's younger brother Mark, who was also on the mountain tour, got help at the time despite injuries that he sustained. The mountain rescue team assumed that Christoph slipped into a crevasse in the thick fog. Now Karl Kress, who is now in his early seventies, wants to get to the bottom of his son's misfortune, which has never let go of him all this time.
