Lambert Hamel

Lambert Hamel (born June 7, 1940 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a German actor and voice actor .

Training and initial engagements

After graduating from high school, Hamel first studied German literature , philosophy and theater studies at the universities of Heidelberg and Cologne from 1960 to 1962 . He then completed an acting training at the Westphalian Drama School in Bochum . During his training director brought him Oscar Fritz Schuh at the German Schauspielhaus in Hamburg , where he in 1963 The Imaginary Invalid by Molière debuted.

Theater and film

Hamel was engaged as an actor on numerous German theaters in the course of his career. In 1964 he worked at the Schauspielhaus Bochum , then switched to the theaters of the city of Cologne for the next four years and from 1968 worked for the Bavarian State Theater. From 1973 to 2001 he was a permanent member of the ensemble of the Münchner Kammerspiele before returning to the Bayerische Staatsschauspiel in the 2001/02 season. In addition, Hamel took on guest engagements at the Salzburg Festival and at the Vienna Burgtheater .

Hamel was also involved in numerous film and television productions as an actor (see filmography). Hamel is also active as a reader of audio books and as a voice actor , among others for Philippe Noiret , Charlton Heston , Frank Langella , Lionel Stander and Raúl Juliá .
