Folco Lulli (born July 3, 1912 in Florence , † May 24, 1970 in Rome ) was an Italian actor .

Life

Lulli, whose younger brother Piero was also an actor, came to film relatively late after a career as a footballer. He had the greatest success in the reward of fear . His later films no longer had this meaning. Between the end of the Second World War and the end of the 1960s, it was an institution of Italian film, but it also shot in other European countries. After his debut in Alberto Lattuada's Il bandito , he was also engaged as an unusual leading actor, of massive, coarse stature and with an expressive, large face, but was often committed to solid characters, often also to rogue roles. He received a Nastro d'Argento in 1964 for his performance in The Whip on the Neck . In addition to a documentary film, he was also once active as a director of a feature film.
