action

After learning from his mother that his father, who was believed to be dead, is alive, the young Don Ramón Martínez travels to Mexico with his loyal friend José, where he went into exile twenty years ago. When Ramón arrives, he learns that his father was killed by General Gutiérrez, who ruled the area despotic, and that his property, like the silver mine, became the general's property. Since Gutiérrez is dispossessing everyone in the area and has his Colonel Martín act sadistically, Ramón joins a resistance group whose aim is to overthrow the dictator. He masquerades as Zorro and is so successful with his actions that Gutiérrez feels compelled to flee. Peace and justice have thus been restored and Ramón can take over his father's property with the good name of his father.

criticism

The lexicon of international films saw a "moderately exciting adventure film that offers undemanding series entertainment." Christian Keßler considers the film to be one of the livelier of the once very popular coat-and-sword films from Italy.

Remarks

The exterior shots of the film were made with the participation of the production companies “Compagnia Cinematografica Mondiale”, “Fidès” and “Producciones Benito Perojo” in Rome , Bari , Biarritz and Saint Jean de Luz . Italian cinema shows brought in 155 million lire .
