Armando Calvo
Armando Pascual Calvo Lespier (born December 25, 1919 in San Juan , Puerto Rico , † July 6, 1996 in Mexico City ) was a Puerto Rican actor .
Life
Calvo was the son of Spanish actor Juan Calvo and a Puerto Rican mother, his brother is actor Manolo Calvo . He was already playing on stage at the age of five; he made his first film, growing up in Spain, in 1939. Six years later he settled in Mexico and starred in numerous films until he returned to Spain in the 1960s. There he appeared in numerous spaghetti westerns .
Calvo moved his center of life again to Mexico and worked there during the following decades on the stage, for television and in other films. During the last years of his life he lived in a hotel and devoted himself to writing and painting.
