Helga Liné (actually Helga Lina Stern ; born July 14, 1932 in Berlin ) is a German actress who worked mainly in Portugal and Spain.

Life

When she was a child, Liné and her family fled the Nazi regime to Portugal , where she made her film debut in Porto de Abrigo in 1941 . She worked as a dancer and circus performer, later as a mannequin. Occasionally she also played film roles (for example for Manuel Guimarães in Saltimbancos 1951, and in Nazaré 1952, alongside Virgílio Teixeira ); her breakthrough came after moving to Madrid in 1960. From now on, she starred in numerous genre films, from peplum on the spy movie to Western and sex movies, but was mainly through their participation in horror films known. By 2006 her filmography included over 130 roles. In later years she also worked with more artistically important directors such as Pedro Almodóvar , who she holds very highly.
