Hercules against the tyrants of Babylon (original title: Ercole contro i tiranni di Babilonia ) is an Italian sandal film from 1964. Domenico Paolella directed the film with US bodybuilder Peter Lupus in the title role.

action

Babylonian warriors captured Asparia and sold it as a slave. Nobody recognizes the Greek queen in Asparia. Hercules is sent to deliver them. The news of a man who defeated the entire Babylonian forces also reaches the slaves. Asparia can send a message to Hercules about her whereabouts. Three siblings rule Babylon: the beautiful Taneal, the warlike Salman Osar and the conservative Azzur. The Assyrian King Phaleg wants to buy up all the slaves from them. The siblings suspect that Phaleg wants to set up an army of slaves. Taneal can seduce and drug the king. She learns that Phaleg is looking for Asparia. He wants to marry her and unite the two kingdoms.

The siblings are planning an assassination attempt on Phaleg. Hercules learns of the plan and prevents the murder. Hercules swears loyalty to Phaleg and then sets off for Babylon accompanied by Assyrian soldiers. There are disputes among the siblings. Both Salman Osar and Azzur want to marry Asparia. Taneal wants to steal the riches of the city and then destroy them with the help of underground wheels that form the foundation of Babylon.

Hercules can free Asparia and now begins to destroy Babylon himself with the help of the Ferris wheels. Salman Osar kills Azzur, but is then struck dead by debris himself. The Assyrian soldiers now want to bring Asparia to Phaleg, but the queen is taken hostage by Taneal. Phaleg wants to free Asparia with the help of his cavalry and make him his queen, but Hercules and the freed Babylonian slaves oppose him. Hercules kills Phaleg, his soldiers flee. Taneal commits suicide with poison, so Hercules can bring Asparia and the former slaves back to Greece.
