Peter Josef Ignaz von Hontheim

Peter Josef Ignaz von Hontheim (born January 27, 1739 in Koblenz , † September 17, 1807 ) was a German vicar general .

Johann Peter Josef Ignatius Hontheim, the nephew of Trier Auxiliary Bishop Johann Nikolaus von Hontheim, was first dean of the Trier Simeonsstift , electorate Privy Councilor and official since 1793 . In 1802 the then Bishop of Trier Charles Mannay asked him for support for the administration of the diocese . 1803 Hontheim becomes the first vicar general of the diocese of Trier .
