occupation

The King Returns is a television film from the crime series Tatort by ARD and ORF . The film was produced by Norddeutscher Rundfunk and broadcast for the first time on September 17, 1995. It is the crime scene episode 318. For the chief detective Paul Stoever ( Manfred Krug ) it is the 25th case. For his colleague Peter Brockmöller ( Charles Brauer ) it is the 22nd case in which he is investigating.

action

A young lad rides through the city on inline skates at night. His goal is a video store where he picks up a sex magazine. He overhears how the manager of the video store receives a visit, is informed that "Mucher" has broken out and is talking to a "gentleman" in a stretch limousine . In the meantime, KHK Stoever and Brockmöller are also being updated. The neighborhood big Harry Mucher goes into hiding with one of his well-known friends, Richard Tomsick. In turn, he is addressed by the inline skater - but apparently doesn't want to know anything about it. Brockmöller is pretty close to the old case, because he thinks that Harry Mucher killed his colleague and girlfriend Verena Becker 16 years ago. The commissioners ask around in the neighborhood.

Mucher meets with the manager of the video library, Wolfgang Braun, exchanges a few trivialities and goes to the warehouse with him. You will be observed there by Ulli Krueger, the henchman of the new Kiez great Jochen Rakuscha. Mucher senses this immediately and lures Krueger out of his hiding place. Braun is fatally hit in an exchange of fire. At the scene of the crime, Stoever notices the young inline skater, who can describe the two fugitives very precisely and claims that it was not Mucher. From his hiding place, Mucher can follow Stoever's visit to "Ricci's" bar with a surveillance camera. He drives straight to his old flame Kirsten and asks about the boy. Without knowing it, he comes towards him on his inline skates. Mucher's return to Ricci's bar is registered by the police informant. But before that, Rakusha's henchmen arrive and put a lot of pressure on. Stoever and Brockmöller arrive in time to arrest Krueger, but not to catch Mucher too, as skater Jan prevented their pursuit. He takes Mucher back to his room and seeks revenge.

Suddenly pimp Krueger stands in Jan's room and demands a meeting with his street whore, Kirsten. Jan tells him that Mucher wants to talk to him about Kirsten in the Gänsemarkt-Passage . Mucher laconically states there that Kirsten is no longer on the line. Jan also follows this from his hiding place and can warn Mucher that Krueger is aiming at him. Mucher jumps aside, and Jan fatally shoots Krueger. Since the security personnel of the passage followed the meeting of the two men by video surveillance, the passage is closed. Jan can still slip under the bars, but leaves his father behind. The first way after Mucher's arrest leads Stoever and Brockmöller to Jan and his mother Kirsten. She gives her son an alibi. When asked about her relationship with Mucher, she is silent. Stoever and Brockmöller are thinking about the third man in the diamond robbery 16 years ago and who really benefited from it. During the interrogation of Mucher, Jan suddenly pulls a gun and threatens a police officer. Full of fatherly pride, Mucher was given safe conduct. On the escape route, they release the police officer. Mucher contacts Richard Tomsick and Stoever is already standing in front of him, asking about his destination. He tells Stoever that Mucher wants to go to Rakuscha. While he is giving the ignorant, the police surround his property. Stoever calls Tomsick after the mission and pretends that Mucher and Rakuscha are out of the running. Tomsick believes he has finally reached his goal, takes the diamonds from his pillow and runs into Stoever's arms.
