Stoevers Fall is a television film from the crime series Tatort by ARD and ORF . The film was produced by Norddeutscher Rundfunk under the direction of Jürgen Roland and first broadcast on July 5, 1992. It is the 260th crime scene episode. action

In St. Pauli the “St. Pauli godfather “Berger found a burglar in his office. When he recognizes the man as Erich Born, he is shot by the burglar. Stoever and Brockmöller are called to the scene of the crime and learn from the reporter Horstmann that Berger was about to sell the works collected in his archive. Over many years he had collected film scenes and documents about interesting visitors to the brothels. That should have caused nervousness among some of the gentlemen, because even members of the police apparatus can be found among them. Horstmann is already in possession of one of the films on which today's head of department for organized crime, Lindemann, nicknamed "Feinfein", can be seen. However, this film is already over ten years old and, according to Born, even newer and more explosive material can be expected. Berger had turned to the reporter because he did not trust the police and suspected a mole there. Shortly afterwards, Born is fished dead from the Elbe. The prostitute Carola Naumann confirms to Stoever that Lindemann came with an aluminum case from Berger that night. When Born's friend Tanja Schneider contacted the photojournalist Uschi Petzold to make a statement, she was pushed from the balcony a short time later. Stoever had noticed Schneider's call directly and was able to arrest the perpetrator in her apartment, but a capable lawyer succeeded in portraying the crime as suicide and getting the perpetrator free.

The commissioners are gradually discovering that information about the “Kiez” is getting through from the ranks of the police, as Born had indicated. Recently, all actions in the red light district have failed, which actually suggests a mole. For Stoever, only Lindemann comes into consideration, which he tries to prove. Reporter Horstmann anticipates him by publishing the scandal of the corrupt officials in the newspaper. However, since he makes the mistake and suggests that he has more explosive material, he is lured into a trap by the brothel owner Hammesfahr and shot the next day.

Stoever tries. to find the stolen films and documents that Erich Born hid before his death. When he succeeds, he can prove Lindemann's involvement, but before he can be called to account, he judges himself and shoots himself. Hammesfahr also no longer has to answer in court, as he was killed by Stoever in the context of securing the documents. He later learns that the latter shot his friend Horstmann.
