The Hamburg detective chief inspectors Paul Stoever , played by Manfred Krug , and Peter Brockmöller , played by Charles Brauer , are fictional people from the ARD crime series Tatort . The NDR produced a total of 41 episodes between 1984 and 2001, with Stoever initially investigating without Brockmöller in the first three cases.
background
In addition to Hamburg, the investigation and shooting locations included: Neuwerk , Scharhörn and Kiel .
A special feature was the (jazz) singing duets, the Peter and Paul Brockmöller Stoever from 1996 in their crime scenes gave the best. There were a total of 17 songs in the episodes up to 2001. This idea came up during a break in filming on Neuwerk when both of them just started singing a song. The editor of the NDR liked this so much that she built these musical interludes into the films. A collection of the songs was published on a music CD in 2000/01 under the title Tatort - Die Songs .
Figures from the Hamburg crime scene episodes
Paul Stoever
Chief Detective Inspector Paul Stoever, played by Manfred Krug , was born on May 3rd, 1936 and is a rather grumpy person. His intuitive acumen paired with solid criminal work, however, brings every case close to a solution. He also likes to tread unconventional paths, and they usually bring success. His work colleagues have got used to his individuality and down-to-earth charm. They don't even take his sometimes bad jokes too seriously. Everyone knows that they are only hiding their sensitive side. He deliberately cultivates the image of a man with a rough skin, underneath which lies a soft core. He doesn't always take regulations and guidelines very carefully and doesn't have much in mind with tie straps.
Stoever originally wanted to become a lawyer, public prosecutor or even a judge in order to fight for more justice. He has always been good at making accurate pleadings. But a seemingly endless study and his blasé law fellow students did not fit his solid basic attitude. His sense of justice led him to the police and the criminal investigation department. For him there are no likable or unsympathetic criminals - it is his job and his job to hunt everyone down.
In his private life he cooks with passion, preferably spaghetti, but also does not disdain a juicy currywurst at the snack bar. However, he prefers to sit in the pub with a cold glass of beer and a decent cigar - he is a connoisseur.
Peter Brockmöller
Chief Detective Inspector Peter Brockmöller, played by Charles Brauer , is not just a colleague for Stoever, but a real buddy. He stands by him as a friend in all situations, is balanced, calm and sensible. In doing so, he usually succeeds in bringing Stoever back down to earth. He's also always in a good mood, even with the worst crimes.
Through their first cases together, they got to know and appreciate each other in the criminal investigation department. Over time, they became inseparable - almost like an old married couple that nothing can shake anymore. Brockmöller's affection occasionally goes as far as giving up on himself. Not only his large apartment, but also his craftsmanship are qualities that Stoever not only uses, but also often exploits.
