The Erfurt chief detective Henry Funck , played by Friedrich Mücke , the detective chief Maik Schaffert , played by Benjamin Kramme , and the police intern Johanna Grewel , played by Alina Levshin , are fictional people from the ARD crime series Tatort . The Central German Broadcasting (MDR) turned a total of two episodes that were broadcast in 2013 and, 2014.

background

The MDR announced in early 2012 that it would establish a new team of investigators in Thuringia. Until then, Thuringia was the only German state without a crime scene - or Police Call 110 team. In order to develop concepts for the new team, the MDR launched an Internet call for tenders for production companies who could present their ideas. From more than 100 ideas about the location and concept of the new Tatort team, the concept of the Cologne and Munich-based production company FFP New Media and director and author Thomas Bohn was chosen. In June 2012 the team composition and the location were announced to the public. In January 2015, the MDR stopped the crime scene series. A planned third episode was no longer produced.

The investigation and shooting locations were Erfurt and the surrounding area. It was the youngest investigative team in crime scene history.

Reviews

Der Spiegel summarizes the reviews of other newspapers and writes among other things: “Instead of entrusting its own editors with the development, the station launched a tender for producers. The fact that the concept of TV veteran Thomas Bohn (among other things responsible for the Hamburg 'Tatort' with Robert Atzorn) was finally selected from allegedly around a hundred submissions caused plenty of scorn in the television industry. So the urgently needed renewal could really not succeed. "

The Süddeutsche Zeitung has a similar assessment: “The young actors actually wanted to attract new audiences. But in particular the episode 'The Mole', shown in December, was not well received. The dialogues seemed artificial for many viewers. "
