Günter Lamprecht
Günter Hans Lamprecht (born January 21, 1930 in Berlin ) is a German actor .
Life
Lamprecht was born the son of a taxi driver and after a broken apprenticeship as a roofer, he initially became an orthopedic craftsman. During his training at the Max Reinhardt School for Drama , from 1954 onwards he played minor roles with directors such as Hans Lietzau and Erwin Piscator at the Berlin Schiller Theater . His first permanent theater engagement then followed at the Schauspielhaus Bochum , from where he moved to the Oberhausen Theater , where he was engaged from 1959 to 1961. He played the men from the people on stage, Kowalski in Endstation Sehnsucht and John in Gerhart Hauptmann's Die Ratten .
He had his first television roles mainly in television productions of theater plays, such as 1968 alongside Willy and Lucy Millowitsch in the Schwank Der Meisterboxer . In 1973 he took part in the ZDF series Kara Ben Nemsi Effendi , in 1975 he played the lead role in the two-parter Stellenweise Glatteis based on the novel by Max von der Grün . In 1977 he played an alcoholic in Peter Beauvais ' drama Relapses . In 1979 he was cast by Rainer Werner Fassbinder in The Marriage of Maria Braun and then as Franz Biberkopf in the film adaptation of Alfred Döblin's Berlin Alexanderplatz . This prominent role was his breakthrough and he received critical acclaim and international awards. He also gained popularity in the 1990s through the role of Berlin Tatort Commissioner Franz Markowitz . The character actor also starred in many minor film and television roles, including The Big Flatter (1979), The Boot (1981) and Comedian Harmonists (1997).
Lamprecht was initially married to the actress Gisela Zülch , and later became friends with Claudia Amm , with whom he is still together today. On November 1, 1999, Lamprecht and his current partner were shot and seriously injured by a 16-year-old during his rampage in Bad Reichenhall . The actor then hired the lawyer Rolf Bossi to sue the parents of the perpetrator under criminal and civil law. However, no charges were brought; there is also no information about a possibly successful claim for damages. Five years after the crime, Lamprecht still complained of nightmares and sleepless nights as a result of the crime.
Günter Lamprecht told his experiences during the time of National Socialism and in the post-war years in the book And I'm still wistful. A youth in Berlin . In 2007, the second part of his autobiography was published with A Hellish Thing, Life . The title is a quote from Alfred Döblin's novel Berlin Alexanderplatz . In his adopted home, Castle Rösberg near Bornheim , he volunteers for social and charitable purposes and for the preservation of the environment. Since 1994 he has been the patron of the artist project "ASTRONAUTENKOST" in Solingen. He is politically active and supports the SPD in election campaigns .
