Herbert Strate Prize

The Herbert Strate Prize is a German film award . It is awarded by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW and the Hauptverband Deutscher Filmtheater (HDF Kino eV) and commemorates Herbert Strate , the long-standing president of the Filmförderungsanstalt (FFA) and HDF Kino eV, who died in 2004

The award, endowed with 20,000 euros, honors people who have made outstanding contributions to German film. It will be presented as part of the NRW Cinema Program Award.
