Rolf Bähr

Rolf Bähr (born March 15, 1939 in Berlin-Karlshorst ) is a lawyer and sailor . For many years he was the director of the film funding agency .

Between 1979 and 1987 he was multiple world, vice-world and European champion in the Tempest class . He won the Tempest World Championships in 1979, 1980, 1982, 1985 and 1987. Together with Willi Kuhweide , he qualified in the Soling class for the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, both of which, however, did not take part due to the boycott. In 2005 he won the bronze medal at the Tempest World Championship.

From 2005 to November 30, 2013 he was President of the German Sailing Association .
