Place of investigation Frankfurt am Main |
Edgar Brinkmann is a fictional character from the crime series Tatort , played by Karl-Heinz von Hassel . The Hessischer Rundfunk produced a total of 28 episodes from 1985 to 2001. In the episode 187 Automord there was a guest appearance of the chief inspector a. D. Marek with Fritz Eckhardt in the title role. The place of investigation was Frankfurt am Main .
background
The location was Frankfurt with its diverse locations. In 1996, the underground car park of the HR for the crime scene production Frankfurt-Miami was converted into a location for a brothel because the station did not want to shoot directly in the real red-light district.
At the end of the 1970s there was an effort to shorten the crime scenes to 60 minutes. However, the author Sylvia Hoffman and Bernd Rhotert, the head of the HR department for film and television games, prevailed by keeping the broadcast length of 90 minutes. The only episode in which the transmission length was shortened to 62 minutes as an attempt is the episode Death at the Rest Area from 1982 with Helmut Fischer as Commissioner Lenz from Munich.

Edgar Brinkmann
Chief Inspector Edgar Brinkmann ( Karl-Heinz von Hassel ) is the head of the Frankfurt homicide squad.
