Fred Stillkrauth (born August 14, 1939 in Munich ; † August 7, 2020 there ) was a German theater and folk actor .

Life

Fred Stillkrauth graduated from the renowned Otto Falckenberg School in Munich and received his first engagements at various theaters. After the death of Fritz Straßner he took over the role of Brandner Kaspar in Kurt Wilhelm's play Der Brandner Kaspar und das Ewig 'Leben from 1975, which was played in over a thousand performances in the Bavarian State Theater until 2001. He was also part of the ensemble in Dieter Dorn's farewell production Das Käthchen von Heilbronn at the Staatsschauspiel in February 2011.

Its popularity in both theater and BR television was based not least on dialect-colored roles. In the television series Komödienstadel des Bayerischen Rundfunks, for example, he was part of the permanent cast. He also had appearances as a meat wholesaler in the series Zur Freiheit and as a criminal Lederer in the series Löwengrube , in which he embodied two completely different characters. In April 2008, Fred Stillkrauth was seen in the Tatort production Der oide Depp by Bayerischer Rundfunk in a leading role as Chief Detective Inspector "Grandpa Sirsch".
