Heiner Schmidt
Heiner Schmidt (born April 6, 1926 in Breslau ; † August 5, 1985 ) was a German actor , speaker and director .
Life
From 1949 to 1953 he studied law at the Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg im Breisgau , and was co-founder and artistic director of the Wallgraben Theater there . He played the Pozzo in Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot .
Schmidt played a number of roles in Loriot's cartoon show (1967–1972) and was involved in Loriot's Telecabinet . He became famous in the second half of the 1970s, however, primarily through his participation in sketch-like short films in the Loriot series , for example in Schmeckt's? or The voter asks , in which he mimed brittle, dry, strict types.
