Please no police is a 13-part crime series that was broadcast for the first time between September and December 1975 on ZDF's evening program. It was produced by Elan-Film Gierke & Company on behalf of ZDF.
content
Private detective Peter Martin always steps in when the police explicitly do not want to be involved or their investigations have stalled. The always successful Martin investigates fraud and murder cases, when it comes to missing people or theft. He often works with detective inspector Matthias Wenzel, who is the brother of Martin's wife Vera, i.e. his brother-in-law.
Others
The authors of the only season of this series were Bert Harras and Karl Michael Heinze, with Heinze only contributed the books for episodes 8, 11 and 13. The crime thriller homepage suspects that Bert Harras could be a pseudonym of the scriptwriter Bruno Hampel , since the episode Ich bin so free strongly resembles the episode 1: 0 for Frankfurt from the series Kommissar Freytag , which was written by Hampel. Behind the camera stood Kai Borsche , the oldest son of the actor Dieter Borsche .
Please no police could come up with a number of prominent episode actors. The individual episodes were broadcast on Wednesdays at weekly intervals. Only between episodes 9 and 10 was the interval 14 days. In 1981, ZDF repeated the series.
