Peter Machac

Peter Machac (born September 14, 1939 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actor , radio and television presenter .

Life

After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna. Then he graduated from the drama school of Helmuth Krauss and Polly Kügler.

Machac has appeared at numerous theaters, including at the Stadttheater in Baden and in Vienna at the Volkstheater , at the “Die Courage” theater , Renaissance theater, intimate theater and at the comedy, and in Munich at the “ Die Kleine Freiheit ” theater . From 1962 he also took part in several feature films, several times with the main actor Peter Alexander . After that, he appeared occasionally in television series.

He became famous but first as a "television children's uncle", between 1960 and 1971, the children's hour of ORF moderated. Later he led through the programs You wish - we play (ORF), Musikreport ( BR ) and ZDF Sunday concert .

He also worked extensively for radio and was a co-founder of Ö3 . He worked as an author and moderator for BR, HR , NDR and RAI -Bozen. From 1974 to 1992 he moderated numerous music programs, especially at Bayern 3 . He is married to the actress and presenter Monika Strauch .
