Giovanni Lodetti (born August 10, 1942 in Caselle Lurani ) is a former Italian football player .

Career

In the club

Lodetti began his career at AC Milan in 1961 at the age of 19. He won the Italian championship with the Rossoneri in 1962 and 1968 and the Italian Cup in 1967. Internationally, he won the European Cup Winners 'Cup with AC Milan in 1963 and 1969, the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1968 and the World Cup in 1969. In 1970 he moved to Sampdoria Genoa for four years before ending his career with US Foggia (two years) and Novara Calcio (two years).

In the national team

Internationally, Giovanni Lodetti made his debut for Italy in 1964. He participated in the 1966 World Cup in England and was eliminated with the team in the group stage. At the European Championship in 1968 in his own country, he and his team under Ferruccio Valcareggi were able to win the European Championship.
